Debbie MacGuffie is a writer, editor, and wife, as well as a planner extraordinaire. She is the author of numerous articles published on the Internet. She is not a wedding industry insider, although she’s had several of her articles published on wedding-related sites.
She polled friends, family members, friends of friends, friends of family members, co-workers, and acquaintances and drew from her own experiences to bring you the truth about what it takes to plan the wedding you really want, from the perspective of women who’ve done so (or failed to do so–and you’ll learn why). Debbie and co-author Michael Spurlock have been together since 1990, but only married since 1997. Debbie denies rumors that this is because she enjoyed planning the wedding so much for the first seven years that she didn’t want to give it up!
Mike Spurlock is a freelance writer, technical writer, computer geek, best friend, and awesome husband. He has attended more weddings than he can count. In his former life as a television writer, producer, and cameraman, he moonlighted as a wedding videographer at numerous events. His "Words from the Groom" additions to this book will give you insight into a typical male point of view of the whole wedding extravaganza. It’s not pretty (but your fiancé will think it’s brilliant!)
